Well, the societal danger of cloning, abortion and homosexuality is essentially the same, it is a clear danger, one that is ever present and of a sort that should we fail to grasp the subtle and utterly flawed premise upon which it rests, will certainly put us at war with nature, erasing the natural basis for our social identity. This is no rant of a religious nut. The logic for my position exists in nature and therefore does not require our having to look beyond nature to see it. You need not have the power of Faith to see this natural truth. It is ever before you. Unfortunately, most members of society will not willingly follow the facts of their own nature. You will do as you wish, whether it is reasonable or not.

Very well then, but I think you ought not deceive yourself into thinking you are "advancing," and that I wish to 'debunk' your so-called "science" (I marvel that as a theologian your father does not know better than to approach science with these sorts of considerations. He lives in a horrid fantasy who claims science and theology are not intertwined and not indeed ultimately one thing). The issue for me is not about debunking your "science." It is governed by the likes of Dr. Frankenstein and as you have said, it cannot be returned to the days when science had nobler leaders and aims. The issue for me is one of moral independence. I do not wish to be morally associated with you, and I have a natural right to detach myself from you should you willingly persist in supporting what is objective wickedness against human nature and civilization. The cloning, abortion and homosexuality issues are quite settled in my mind and when you protest against "religion" and for "advancement" and against "scare tactics," you do very little toward giving me a reason to change my view toward them. I actually do not hold my view against these abominations strictly on the basis of religion. Human nature itself condemns them and this is quite obvious. Your own nature declares the error of homosexuality, abortion and cloning. It is likely why at least some of these things seem a 'little creepy' to you.

These vague misgivings condemn you. Your claiming neither to reject nor accept these issues is quite wrong. You most certainly accept them when you know of them, are left feeling 'creepy' by them and despite your misgivings yet refuse to make the attempt to morally remove yourself from those who would headlong force your tacit complicity in them. There is nothing at all wrong with demanding your "science" resolve the ethical questions surrounding abortion, cloning and the like before it forces these abominations on society. Indeed such a demand is prudent. But you make no such demands, and your "science" pays no heed at all to issues of ethics and morality because it has no ethics and morality. It is accountable to nothing but itself and society will eventually discover it a most treacherous god to serve. It is prudent that you more deeply evaluate the implications of these issues and resolve your 'creepy' feelings regarding them before you champion societal acceptance of them. Our country is filled with people who are not personally resolved on these most serious controversial issues, but who are content to allow atheistic priests to make critical decisions for them by default, even allowing the priests to finance themselves with our money. As long as you persist as you do in this sheepish posture, you, to be sure, are responsible for what happens. It is no scare tactic. It is the God's Heaven's truth.

Now, of course I don't think you care about any of this at all, and so you will simply say to it "Fine. I'll take whatever comes." This is your choice to make. The problem is, you attempt to make this choice for me when you imply I ought not protest what you and your priests are doing to my country, to my home and family. I will not let you make this choice for me without a fight. Reason demands I make an attempt to defeat you. Of course wickedness will only be stopped by the overwhelming destruction it brings on itself, but winning is not the point for me. I oppose you because it is most reasonable and it establishes in nature the fact that I am morally independent of you. I do not fear the imbalance you are causing in the cosmic moral order because I cognitively choose and am diligently working to remain on the correct side of the moral equation where these and other issues are concerned. That I have not sufficient strength to effectively counterbalance you is not ultimately my problem. It is yours.
