Hi Gersh, Great idea. I think that 94 -95 % of the American people are working and making an increased wage in a noninflationary environment. This has resulted in the consumer maintaining this smallest of recorded recessions. My take on this recession is it is induced by a curtailment of business capital spending.Some say this has resulted in excess capacity.I buy into that.Productivity gains are the only thing that has continued to bolster the pay of those 94-95 % of Americans that work and produce daily. I think that big and even more importantly medium and small businesses be given large tax cedits to upgrade productivity to make all American products more competitive. Over the years the U.S Dollar has been a symbol of strength.This currency inequity has resulted in many good paying jobs being transferred ouside of our country. A technology upgrade would enhance our productivity and slow what may well be an inevitable slide of manufacturing jobs to other low labor cost economies. Let's get business back into productivity upgrades thru accelerated depreciation schedules and / or technology investment credits. Make America strong AND EFFICIENT IN A GLOBAL COMPETITIVE WORLD. Give businesses a reason to part with their coveted retained earnings and put the cycle back to work again. Bob
