Bush has to appeal to three forces: a) those insiders who got him there; b) his base of voters who'll keep him there; and, c) future historians. I'm hoping his best eye will be aimed at the historians, as from such a gaze will come the best possibility for a better condition for humanity. Unfortunately, there's a real possibility he may wish to become known as a great commander in chief than known as a great president. And that's a bit frightening!
