It is totally entitled to do whatever it wants to do internally.> Unlike this private entity, "cosmicforce", they get a tax exemption because they ostensibly represent a greater good. That means they are always subject to scrutiny by this standard, IMO. I'm not in favor of tax exemption for churches, BTW: I don't think there is any Constitutional basis for it. Rather, I think there is an implicit ban against it. So much for any conservative interpretation of the Constitution - however, I also think my electronic communications are protected by the Second Amendment. Silly me. Sainthood, means nothing to me. I couldn't care less whether MT (Mark Twain, Mother Theresa) are granted such status. However, I think the issue of whether any church should get a benefit from the government just because it is a religion is highly questionable because it forces the IRS to decide which churches qualify and which don't. Hell, the Church of the Cosmic Force has been wondering for years where our congregation's tax exemption is.
