Shameful and Anti-democratic That's all we can conclude about the disgusting plot by the boys at Enron and Halliburton to foment a fake riot in Dade County. Only a handful of the Brooks Brothers rioters were publicly identified, some through photographs published in the Washington Post. Jake Tapper’s book on the recount battle, Down and Dirty, provides a list of 12 Republican operatives who took part in the Miami riot. Half of those individuals received payments from the Bush recount committee, according to the IRS records. Paid to riot? As Dorothy Parker quipped: "What kind of fresh hell is this?"
