Hello Kyros, I believe Mirant is in deep doodle with their many power plants in the Philippines, and all problems are of the same sort, namely the PowerPurchase Agreement and the Coal supply agreement are with the same party - Meralco. Exit there will be difficult.

Mirant selling their China plant for profit may or may not be true, as it depends on the value of the plants on the balance sheet. The values may have been written down during more dire times.

With power plants, what you see is rarely if ever what you get, and sometimes you get nothing at all;0)
