MACD is a product of moving averages..

This is an excellent place to read up on MACD and how it is effected by moving averages. They use a 12/26Ema in the example..MACD works with just about any average you want to plug in.

stockcharts.com

MACD, used in conjunction with the moving averages and Stochtasics are the basis of how I trade. For very short term I use 3/5/9 day values. 10/50/200 for the longer term, placing special value on the 50 and 200 as built in resistance spots.

BTW the "no bugw were harmed in making this tomato" was really funny!! Just as another example of how these CA nuts think...PETA is taking on the milk advertizers for the talking Holstien cows..."it does not depict how cows in CA really live and cows don't talk"....Jeeez! I did'nt know that cows could not talk!!
