Excellent observation. This also goes on in other places as well. Well did all this unilateral affirmative action start, anyway? I don't know! But I determined never to concern myself with diversity issues again after working with an Israeli company recently. Nothing against them, they were good hard working people but they clearly discriminated in favor of other israelis even when the individual in question had no qualifications for the job, this put a strain on everybody else who did know what they were doing. If I have to hire in the future I'm going to take the people who I can work with easiest and can adapt to my style which is americans.
