We go through these frames of mine sporadically, I would say cyclically, depending largely on the economy. There's always a baseline of nativists who don't want any furriners polluting our precious American bodily essence, and the number picks up when the economy gets bad.

If Al Qaeda didn't exist, they'd find another reason.

Sorry Kumar... I think a nation/state SHOULD know who is entering and leaving its borders...

I personally don't have anything to hide and could care less if Uncle Sugar knows where I'm going and when I'm returning...

But that's not to say that I encourage them to know all of my business... But preserving the integrity of our obviously porous borders seems a no-brainer..
