And what about the naval "Anti Heroes": "Pirate I and II" books written by Daniel Defoe under a phony name because some of the social rules among pirates were so revolutionary for their time that he knew he'd be fatwaed by the Royals.

He did a great news coverage of some thirty pirates, obviously having read or assisted to the trials, seeing survivors etc. Just for the social rules, the first book is great. Not at all as we are usually thinking.

The two US pirate are also included.
