With Bosnia, Kosovo et al, our NATO allies felt threatened. They saw the conflict there was destabilizing the region and could threaten all of Eastern Europe.

With Iraq, our closest relationships [I refrain from calling them allies since I don't think they are in any sense of the word] do not feel that Saddam presents a threat and have said so publicly.

This statement is nothing more than rationalizing to provide cover for a position that is based on political differences as opposed to righteous or moral ones.

Liberals have a bit of a quandary in that there was less reason for us to be in Yugoslavia than there is in Iraq. Not to say we shouldn't have been in Yugoslavia, but certainly, there are many more reasons for us to be in Iraq.

It should be deeply saddening to Americans to see the Left politicize these matters the way they have/are. There was a time when the Left would not have crossed that line. Seems to me that era ended about November 23, 1963...

You really have a lot of nerve to to me that Yugoslavia presented a greater threat to Germany or France, than Saddam presents to SA Kuwait or Israel. How many Hesbollah bombers did Milosevic hire to bomb the children in Germany? How many of his neighbors did Milosevic invade, and how many times did he gas his own citizens. Link please.

Alot of nerve? LINK PLEASE!

Why don't you take your complaints to the Kuwaitis.......they are unenlightened; you will need to convince then of the danger Saddam presents. You can tell them Big Brother sent you.

Talk about arrogant hubris.................
