and to make matters worse...the states that are in trouble are looking to the feds for a handout too...at least they are cutting jobs and overhead....but then again, they are mandated to balance their budget...unlike the federal government.

they way I view this issue is that government spending (which some see as stimulative) is inherently less effective and more wasteful than any other spending, so I would rather see taxes reduced on those who really pay them. otherwise, in my jaded opinion, we are just buying election favors somewhere. but I would love to be shown I am wrong, tim
