No I don't see your logic. Eisenhower's speech warned us of undue power in the hands of a few who may have selfish or corrupt agendas in mind. Right now I see a White House controlling both houses of congress with a military policy being run by exactly the kinds of people Eisenhower was warning us about. People who dont respect war because they have served in one. People who may be after power, secret geo-political designs, oilfields, weapons contracts, whatever. Rumsfield just got his poet Star Wars deployed even though it's not ready to work and has no real purpose yet. Billions into his buddies' pockets. There's one example. Cheney's call for 1300 new power plants it turns out we didn't need. Who builds them at tax-payer expense? Halliburton, Duke, all his buddies. drilling in ANWAR, same thing.
