Yankee was with us for nearly 17 years....he was just the nicest doggie....We all loved him (especially The Captain, even if he always referred to him as the MOST expensive Golden Retriever in the World---there were other Yankee stories that probably made that true) Our neighbors for about a 4 mile radius knew him too...he used to have a regular loop where he went to visit (before really serious dog leash laws)...he knew which houses were good for "treats"....When he died, so many people were sad with us...they told us some great stories...
