Don't forget about oil being up. I think that there may be a kneejerk reaction to the upside. But I don't think that it is lost on the pros that half of an economic stimulus program ain't gonna get us there. As far as this benefitting the wealthy, I think it is all just a matter of scale. The middle class will benefit, just not in a way that is overly meaningful. It will show up in mutual fund and pensions and such, but we aren't likely to get a windfall that makes us go out and buy another SUV.
