The resetting. The Ottomans fell, Rome and British too. But we weren't there to see. Here it is falling in front of our eyes. We are privileged to be living these days seeing a footage of something like those buildings being imploded and falling in super slow motion. Who, in 1988 have predicted that the Berlin Wall would fall and the eastern block would show how rotten it was within? But now we can say, the empire 'du jour' is right now falling in front of our own eyes. Hey go back and dust off: Paul Kennedy's "The Rise and Fall of Nations".
