The group's latest measure of activity outside the factory sector reads 54.7, the 11th straight month for growth. Economists looked for a better reading at 56.6 after 57.4 in November. Last week, the group reported its measure of the manufacturing sector showed expansion for the first time in four months, rising to 54.7 from 49.2.
