I guess your point is that both Republicans and Democrats want to avoid responsibility. I don't remember that particular Republican mantra in 1994, but it wouldn't surprise me.

You seem to have the tone of a schoolkid going "neener neener neener" because you think that you have caught me in some sort of contradiction. FYI, I am *not* a republican and I am also *not* a democrat. So get over your own bad partisan self.

What I would really like to see is a voter revolt across the board. It doesn't even have to be through voting for a third party. I like the idea of voting out all incumbants. Once the congresscritters get ensconced in office and learn how to manipulate the system to get programs and gov't spending in their district, they get filled with conflicts of interest because they are looking to line their own pockets and not look out for the best interests of the country.

Did you ever see the movie "Misery"? Remember when Kathy Bates' character hobbles James Caan's character? That's what I think should be done to the gov't.
