What we agree upon is that both sides are being driven to extremes.

I think at this juncture it matters little who started what, and I suspect you agree with that as well.

As to who's at fault, whether it is shared or not, that matters little as well.

What matters is whether it is possible to get the Israeli's to blink, or will the Palestinians need to blink this time. It is in this arena that the future prospects ought to be looked at. My take is that Israel will not blink this time, because of what happened in Lebanon, where their blink was seen by radicals as defeat. Israel will not allow that perception to occur in this confrontation, perhaps in a future confrontation but not this one!

That is how I see it!
