The Ranger money didn't come out of private coffers, most of it came from the tax payers who footed the bill for the new stadium and gave the Bushmen additional city land for parking lots, parking lot rights, and concession rights.... The whole sweetheart deal made the Rangers worth a helluva lot more than Jr paid. I think he netted something like 15 million. He was a financial flop prior to that....
