I posted a list conditions that are really unique to Iraq.

They don't make Iraq our enemy. They make Iraq dangerous. So dangerous the threat needs to treated.

This is a hammer that threatens. (I will mix the metaphor)

China is not our enemy either. China presents no clear and present danger. I don't really care what jargon you use as an adjective. The number one goal of international relation is to know when to rattle and when to use the sword. The academic discipline is:
1. Reading the signs properly so you know when to rattle and when to use the sword.
2. To create strategy to eliminate situations where you have to rattle or use the sword.

And this again is about the systematic analysis of signs and events and their implications. 9-11 was a failure of reading signs. SUCCESS at 2 is a stich in time that save 9.
But 1. is all important.

The question is, Do you agree the unique set of conditions I've described make the reasonable case that Iraq poses a clear and present danger. Absolute, kinda, maybe, no. Have I missed something that is more compelling or mitigating.

Should we drive the nail into the wood or not.

Some want to practice international relations. I want to see if anyone has a reason not drive the nail home. Lives stand in the balance.

If the nail is driven, If I have the need, I want to be practiced in telling those who have suffered loss the clear and present danger for which their hero sacrificed.

This is also to help those who had to make the decision and now search their hearts and souls deeply.

So my discussion is more efficient IMHO. I enjoy it and it may provide me with a simple set of words to help another in need.

Damn, those last few paragraphs are kinda heavy aren't they.

We wish or desire discussion about different aspects.
If we were all the same it would be boring.
