I think when we fail to take a posture against cloning, we accept it because like it or not cloning is upon us. The "wackos" you mention don't merely accept it, but also champion it. As for abortion, our alleged "need" for it does not eliminate the natural fact that in slaughtering unborn kids, we literally deny our own identity as humans. Abortion is a sin against ourselves, against who we are in nature. A "need" to destroy our nature is no suitable basis for civilization.

Homosexuals do not comprise 10% of our society. That figure is quite bogus and has been proven so. They likely comprise only about 1 to 2% of Americans. Even so, this number is irrelevant. I am not interested in outlawing homosexuals. They are going to do as they wish, despite that homosexuality is an abomination to human nature. My only concern is that they keep to themselves and not try and force my acceptance of their objective corruption by the might of law. Human society is based upon heterosexuality. Heterosexuality is us - not homosexuality.

That homosexuals sing in a choir is insignificant. It also does not mean they are Christians. Indeed, the Scriptures declare they are not.
