well maybe they should. and more importantly, they should fear Family Dollar and Dollar Tree (and to a lesser extent 99 Cents Only on the west coast), who are the ones truly taking a hit out of the hide of the druggies. a basket of front-end items is 15-20% cheaper at Family Dollar than at Walgreens or CVS.

and while the drug stores may not be afraid, their investors are. return on invested capital in the industry has been in precipitous free-fall for 4 years. CVS is the worst of the bunch, with a return less than its cost of capital. the stock is going to $10.
