If they could afford to buy the options and pay the taxes on the gain at the time they could hold the shares, but depending on the kind of options, this is so expensive that it's almost the same as just buying the stock outright. And most investment counselors would tell you that having this much exposure to the company you work for isn't smart. So I don't read anything into Henley's actions (I haven't figured out anything about the other sale that was mentioned).
