I checked: semi.org and you're right..SMIC and Grace are being run by Taiwanese nationals (Chang and Wong) But the article also states that the Chinese govt is building fabs. I'm hoping there will be enough demand from China for all those semis. China is already the largest market for cell-phones, correct? For the record, I agree with you that China is a rising power, not to be ignored or belittled even if you disagree with their political views. I'm not sure about its capital markets though because those take a long time to develop..look at Wall Street we still have our problems. Sandeep
