I agree with all you said. I would add that one of Prechter's weaknesses is that he relies too much on Elliott interpretation. It is difficult for me as a chartis to look at long term gold charts and say gold is going to 200. I think if he looked to other indicators to assist in the Elliott interpretation he could be even better than he is.

I sold the last of my gold stocks yesterday, as they were already extremely overbought, and then Prechter comes on CNBC and gives the sell signal so that was the last straw for me..... Now all I have is my silver and gold coin collection, which is a VERY long term hold. <g>
The problem now is where and when to re-enter without getting trapped.
