Is there any doubt that this country could run very well on one-third of what they take in?

The problem of complexity in the tax code costs the economy a great deal on both sides of the fence. The U. of Michigan does an annual study of the corporate income tax take and the cost to both government and the private sector of complying with it. It became an economic loser several years ago.

"the budget is so bloated and overfed, the "next question"..

where?

it is almost a hopeless task..."

no - I don't believe that

nor is changing the tax code [flat makes so much sense I can't believe it doesn't fly]

how many government employees do we have currently? a HUGE work pool to do exactly that, figure out how to shrink, trim the budget

if they can't be directed to reduce spending, departments, budgets - carve down, cut out, they have no business being there

p'rhaps they all need to be reminded, work for us, they are there to serve us, "We the people of the United States"
