You gotta be kidding me...did you read Publishers Weekly? Seems there was a huge major bidding war on a novel in NY. From what I gather the bidding was fierce and ugly. Finally the guy got $800,000 up front for the US rights only!!! he can still get other deals in other countries. What was the book about? A TREE. I'm not knocking it or anything, it must be an incredible read but hell man....how can you compete with a freaking tree?? dawgy sits and ponders about life;-)
