People certainly can have self respect without filling out papers for the government OR paying taxes... I understand your identification with your government but don't impose your views on others, because it just isn't there. You think people making say 10-15k per year living on streets or whatever should be bothered filling out 10K's? You think that makes them all feel better? You think I feel better giving money to the Federal Govt than giving it to charities, causes, people of my choice? Hell no.

<Ya see this is what I mean about double talk....The 50K earner paying nothing does not pay their share while the 3M earner IS paying for the government....Even a child could see this... >

LOL, well, but he SHOULD be no? Who is the big beneficiary of the current system, guys with coin [me] or average folk? You think I feel 'better' than the janitor at the ice rink because I pay taxes... does that make feel all puffed up and patriotic and give me an identity or something? I feel WORSE... all the guys I hang with less fortunate [financially of course] than I don't want to pay taxes... and a lot of 'em shouldn't be. They don't look on proudly as the TV shows the latest bullshit about congress or guys leaving on aircraft carriers from some harbour and say "I'm in on that... glad I payed taxes!"

<You don't make the slightest attempt at debate. >

Debate what??? You have a mindset that I disagree with. Do you think there is a 'correct' answer?

<No they live in this country and what the government does effects them. It's their Government .It is far from perfect but without it we would be in deep trouble. We should all play a role in it's support.>

WE should all play a roll in the world that makes it a better place. For me to give a rats ass about 90% of what goes on in Washington is simply ineffective and takes away from my immediate sphere of influence where I can do good. The US of A is not my world... my world is where I am. We disagree on this, that is all.

<it's not good that's for sure. And an even larger group of citizens that contribute nothing would make it worse.. >

Contribute to what... a dark shit hole no one even gives a rats ass about? How about take that contribution and take it to the local shelter? Or the time it takes to earn it to play with your son on the living room floor? Put your kids in daycare so you can contribute to the GREAT USA!
