Up to now Talk has profited from leasing cheap lines from the owners of transmission lines and it appears that these firms were legaly obliged to render this service which made it possible that TALK snd others could profitably compeat in the telephone market. Now I read a news from Quest that they have demanded from the FCC (?) that this obligation be lifted and if so the advantage would be lost. I guess it will take some time for this to do if at all but the expectation of such a possiblity seems to be enough to depress the shares. too bad. Fred

Chris, well if you go into MSN and look at the today "news" under "Q" you will find the reason why TALK has falling so much. Seems to be what I was telling you but now professionaly expressed. But no decission has been reached - however it does not look OK for TALK. Too bad. Fred
