GOP attack-artists have a lot in common with Larry Flynt. Both ignore common decency to excite indecent people. Both deal in lurid fantasies. Both get rich feeding the masses trash. FLynt degrades our country morally and so do the GOP attack artists. The difference is Flynt knows he's a smut peddler and admits it. The right-wing attack artists (and a few on the far left) think they're doing us a public service. They're not. The Anne Coulters and Rush Limbaughs of the world have degraded our public forums to the degree that often even clear facts are not accepted as fact. Unless those facts support their party, they are twisted, shredded and spun around. I would have respect for these gas-bags if they actually listened, debated fairly and admitted everything isn't black and white. But they cannot even do that. All they can do is go on and on trashing and pumping. Making excuses. Diverting attention from their party's flaws by pointing out someone of the other side, even if it's a 50 year old story. They are leading our media in the wrong direction. Into the realm of tabloid trash and pure spin for spin' sake. What can do you? Turn them off and battle back. Never let them bully you and never let them get away with BS. And if they start calling you names, forget about em, you've just won the argument.
