Thanks Conan for your service. Those were police actions you speak of, but none the less hairy if you were there. Please post your proof Clinton cut the military in half. Since military budgets went up during the Clinton era, including your pay, you should be aware that this is not true. and that Bush would not be able to miraculously double our military in 1-2 years. Real warriors take many years to train. Also be aware that a big chunk of Bush's military expenditures are going to strategic space iniatives, like satellites and SDI, the former being an expensive deployment which may or may not even work, and may inflame tensions with China, just as we need them to deal with North Korea.
