Newton or anybody consider Sen. Corzine's comments today about the Bush proposal?
As one of the premier investment bankers in the country he knows a bit about this, and says the risk of the Bush plan is:

* Increased attraction of stocks vs bonds cause decreased attractiveness of bonds, and increased interest rates -- a disaster in itself

* Job creation further delayed, since corps will immediately change their strategy to issuing dividends to bolster share price, rather than retaining earnings for investment.

If so, it would be a further acceleration of the downward spiral of elitist policies which seem almost designed to let the poor and middle class be crushed into subservience.
