Ok, so he gets a fresh 320K (i.e., he doesn't pay the tax on the 920K). Why? Dividends are a scheme to get money out of the company. I bet you that Schwab will increase the dividend under this scheme allowing charles to be richer.

<Bush bill> IMO, Will not pass....he'll sign a compromise (likely ex-dividend idea), but first attempt is a carrot to the conservatives in his party that he's a good, conservative Shrub (some wonder at times)..

Did you see Bush's opening lines about Daley?...no matter what one thinks of Bush/political persuasion, he can be pretty damn funny (can tell a joke)/is likeable, and I, for one, don't doubt his sincerity (in SOME things-g)

I believe this proposal was designed by President Rove to pay back the money that helped put the Republican majority in Congress, and to make sure the conservative base and the money is behind Bush 100% in 2004.

With a well financed Bush campaign against a herd of Democratic candidates, I believe the money and war is calculated to be the difference in the election by President Rove.

This is all about the 2004 re-election campaign, nothing else, IMO.
