Well I asked this question on another thread today regarding these upgrades/downgrades/well timed self-purpose serving comments:

"WHY haven't these broker pimps been disbanded just like Andersen? Their DAILY FRAUDS on the investing public have done more damage than 100,000,000,000,000 Andersens"

Michael, dealing /listening to Pru, and many others for that matter, is like playing poker with the house; they eventually get all your nickels, assuming you buy into their BS. Incredible bunch of professionals.
