"First, I was speaking of societal belief, not individual belief." As I said, Neo and I were discussing our personal beliefs based on reason. You indulged yourself on matters that were not part of our discussion nor representative of any expressed disagreement between us. We were not discussing the origin of social belief systems. Neo did use the word "sanctity" which does not sit well with his disclosure that his discussion of the ethics of abortion are not based on any sense of the sacred, but only of the philosophical. But that contradiction is something for him to explain or to obscure or to clarify...not for you or I to express an unfounded opinion on independent of his input.
