The benefits of Reaganomics were obvious to anyone who lived through the Carter stagflation years.

>>> Very different things.

>>> To summarize:

>>> Inflation, stagflation, and deflation: all bad, and the more extreme they are, the worse they are.

>>> Endless deficits ultimately produce debasement of the currency (inflation).

>>> Huge national debts mean large interest payments on that debt... sucking resources away from the productive sectors of the economy. (We are STILL paying for the S&L bailout-giveaway... currently 1/2 Trillion dollars and counting, and all the extra debt run up by Reagan/Bush).

>>> Too bad Reagan never could fulfill his campaign promises: to eliminate the deficit, and to reduce the size of government.

>>> In the end, Republi-crats seem all the same from a fiscal point-of-view: they grow the government, spend ever more, and tend to favor the constituancies which 'brung 'em' with special tax loopholes and subsidy give-aways.

>>> Dems tend to increase social spending, and grow military spending to a lesser extent.

>>> Repubs tend to grow social spending to a lesser extent, and grow military spending.

>>> In the end, they are both Big Government enablers, and poor fiscal managers.
