I do pay attention to taxes. Vote in every election. And I've never seen a bond measure or tax hike I liked.
Or a politician that wanted to increase taxes.


And you still think we have a representative gov't?

Ask your friends and acquaintances. They didn't vote for tax hikes either.

Disagree, the taxing authority is their source of power. As taxes increase, so does their power.
