If Gore had maintained closer ties to his home state during his tenure as Vice President, he probably wouldn't have lost Tennessee and the election, but I voted for Bush in Texas.

I'm not much for disecting failures but, Gore was NEVER much of a campaigner.

Regardless though, were it not for the Greens, the result would have been different. (Just deserts, I'm sure the Republicans think, considering Perot's role in electing Clinton.)
