Re: Nah, I've had my own experiences with the fair sex and "pacing", and as far as war goes, Bush, no matter how much he talks, ain't getting any,

Granted, Kimmy J.I. (gee, rhymes with kim chee) has administered a cold shower and caused coitus interruptus, but the burning Bush's ardor*** is not to be quenched by such a distraction.

Re: the Venezuelan crisis has made it inconvenient to risk losing Iraq's oil supplies,

Inconvenient, yes. Impossible, no. SPR is still available.

Re: the Turks are holding out for an impossibly large amount of blood money (or maybe rejecting it out of hand, you know those Islamic types).

My pet theory is that they've sent their troops to Mosul in order to secure those northern oil fields and make Bush look like a pirate when he sends in the 1st Air Cav blasting the Turks off the prize. That kind of press would be bad. Not even Shrub's best pals could cover for that outright thievery, though Ari Fleisher would certainly have a suitable splattering of syllables to smother the sarcastic.

Here's a sample of smarminess at its superb show, the White House press briefing:

***Cognizant of the recent prison sentence imposed on a drunk in South Dakota for uttering the words "burning bush", I hereby declare that this is satire kiddies. I can't help it if folks in South Dakota have no sense of humor. Tom Daschle being my case in point. Of course, if the Administration were trying to administer anthrax to me I might be in a funky mood as well. So I forgive Tom.
