Re: The rabbi was wounded in the stabbing at his synagogue by a man shouting pro-Palestinian slogans. On Monday, Rabbi Farhi's car was set on fire outside his home.

A Mossad/Betar provocation? The agressor has not been identified and, according to the rabbi, wore a crash helmet... As he assaulted his victim, the agressor shouted "Allah u akbar!" but that doesn't make him a genuine Arab/Muslim...

Leader of Arab European League arrested in Belgium

29-11-2002

Brussels,IRNA --
The President of the Antwerp-based Arab European League (AEL), Dyab Abou Jahjah, [a Mossad stooge recruited in Lebanon] was arrested by Belgian police Thursday night, local media reported.

Jahjah's arrest follows two nights of rioting by youths of North African descent in Antwerp in the aftermath of the killing of a Moroccan Muslim teacher by a Belgian man, speculated to be a racist attack.

Belgian media have accused the AEL of fermenting the riots. According to an AEL press release, immediately following Abu Jahjah's arrest, security forces raided and searched his house.

AEL said it did not know the reasons or the motives behind the arrest as there were no charges against its president to date.

The AEL called all its members and sympathizers to stay at home and keep calm as "we don't want to be dragged into unnecessary frenzy at this stage."

Police detained over 100 youths of North African descent after a second night of rioting Wednesday.

An estimated 30,000 Arabs of North African origin live in the port city of Antwerp a stronghold of Belgian rightist groups.

Gunman kills Arab youth in France

06-10-2002

London, Independent on Sunday:

Police in northern France were yesterday hunting a gunman who shot dead a 17-year-old of North African origin and wounded three others in two apparently racist attacks in Dunkirk.

The man, wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap, fired one rifle shot from behind the wheel of a Nissan 4x4 through a cafe window on Friday night. He then shot at customers who ran out in panic, police said yesterday. Two of the wounded were of North African origin.

An hour later, he fired at a group of teenagers at another cafe, killing Mohamed Maghara, a youth of Moroccan descent. Daniel Ferey, deputy prefect in Dunkirk, called the shootings "premeditated and racist". About 200 police were searching for the gunman, believed to be in his 40s.

"We have no clues about him and he was not identified," Mr Ferey said. "The licence plates were covered. He was wearing a hunting jacket or a military outfit."

About half the residents of Grande-Synthe, the Dunkirk suburb where the youth was killed, are of North African Arab origin. Yesterday 300 people marched through the area in protest at the attacks.

'Simulated' stabbing

One of the key witnesses is Michele Burgio, Mr Troiani's driver, who admits to planting petrol bombs at the school.

According to the media reports, Mr Troiani later admitted to prosecutors that fabricating evidence was a "silly thing" to do.

Attention is also focusing on a knife attack on one police officer, Massimo Nucera.

A senior police chief, Franco Gratteri, head of the Central Operations Services, is quoted as saying that the stabbing was not carried out by protesters, but was simulated.

Mr Gratteri says the "attack" could have been aimed at justifying the excessive use of violence used by some flying squads.

Hundreds of police and protesters were injured in street battles during the summit, which was attended by violent anarchists as well as peaceful protesters.

One protester died after being shot by police.
