Bowler Hats are abundant. There is a sea of them. At Midday on Carnaby street they have them out brim up looking for Baksheesh. They are also useful for collecting rainwater as you cannot drink tapwater in London. If fermented barley is added to the water it is potable and during the day thousands of Anglish can be seen in public watering houses rehydrating. Bowler felt is also useful for filtering the execrable petrol of ubiquitous sand, sugar and cigarette butts. The bowler style is a necessity as the dip in the fedora will collect rainwater, a real problem on foggy wet moors when chasing sheila foxes through the heather.
