Jim,

Re: Clinton went against many DoD members advice in dismantling the intelligence network

I can't believe you are so blind to reality. Sandy Berger, Clinton's National Security Advisor presented Condy Rice a tremendous dossier of concerns about al Qaeda, etc. upon the transition in January, 2001. The Bushistas dropped the ball, failing to pursue investigations that the Clinton team had initiated into terrorist cells. During 2001, John Ashcroft's DoJ and the FBI management actively suppressed the ongoing investigations of al Qaeda, WAMY and other Islamic organizations because these investigations were getting embarrassing for the Bush family due to the exposure of the Bin Laden family (and not just Osama) as perpetrators of anti-American activities.

The Bush team are the ones who dropped the ball on anti-terrorist intelligence operations in order to protect a business connection.

Your obsession with Clinton's failure in view of the monumental failures of the Bush team simply astonishs me. Are you willfully blind or simply ill-informed?
