Myth: lower taxes create higher revenues. Hannity and Limbaugh keep repeating that about the Reagan era, but ignore that Reagan also left us with the biggest deficits in history, which only GW will eclipse. The dividend tax cuts will mean more companies will issue dividends which will mean less cash in companies to invest in new jobs and equipment. No zero stimulus unless you believe in trickle-down voodoo economics which Bush Sr. rightly charged made no sense. Well it makes sense for the rich maybe but no one else, unless you have a job polishing yachts. The GOP should just admit they're for the richer Americans so we can end this debate. They always have been, always will be. The little guys eat cake. The rich guys get richer. What's the big mystery? Only under CLinton did we have full employment and a strong middle-class of consumers. Percolate-UP did work. Trickle-down doesn't.
