we should get a weak bounce of 2-3 hours starting arond 1030 am then selling off in pm but not necessarily going to lower lows today.

No difference.
Buy/Write = naked put.
That is a fact.
Risk is identical.
That is a fact.
The moment you place the CC you have identical risk to that of a naked put.
That is a fact.
Your position in a stock before the CC was place is totally irrelevant.
The moment you place the CC you are taking a trade.
That trade is identical to that of writing a naked put.
The only difference is that you are already in the stock so you would have to sell it and then write a naked put. Two trades.

OTOH if one wanted to do a buy/write at the outset, that is two trades, and can perhaps better be accomplished by writing a naked put. It all balances out no matter how you look at it.
