Good Morning heehee1:

I don't think this is about stimulating the economy in the short run. I think it is about doing what's right for the long term. The government has no right to over 50% of that money. Money left in the hands of the average American spent how they decide to spend it, is a far better option in my opinion.

Also if I had 100K to park in a stock such as HD for example for 12 months I would receive 1K in dividends, my tax would be ~$300. So if I had 100K (I don't even have close to that much money to play with) to park in a 1% yield security for a whole year Bush's plan will give me $300. What a deal......!

This is how the rich get richer and the poor get nowhere.
