Wed 8 Jan 2003 News Release
Mr. Bill Hennessy reports
Strike Minerals has released the results from its first diamond drill hole
P-01-02 on its Edwards mine, Plowman One zone. The Edwards is located in
Jacobson township, 50 kilometres northeast of Wawa, Ont.
The drilling intersected visible gold in the zone at -340 feet which is 60
feet below two previous holes 70 feet apart 96-13 (1.61 ounces/one foot)
and 96-19 (2.23 ounces/1.6 feet). Due to the possible nugget effect on the
assays, the company ordered three sets of assays on one foot of
intersection at two separate assay labs. These assays returned:

10.80 grams Au
12.48 grams Au
30.84 grams Au
The connecting foot of core in the zone returned assay values as follows:

2.07 grams Au
1.60 grams Au
1.16 grams Au
Bruce Edgar, company exploration manager, calculated an average of all
assays across this intersection at 15.73 grams across two feet (0.46 of an
ounce per ton/two feet).
The company views these assays as significant, particularly as they
substantiate the results of the earlier drilling by VenCan in 1996 and
warrant further testing of the zone.
Locations and drilling results on the zone can be viewed on the company Web
site at www.strikeminerals.com.

Claude, a fig leaf is a metaphor for something that hides something embarrassing. Some classical and Renaissance sculpture has drapery or fig leaves carefully placed so as to preserve the figure's modesty. I meant to suggest that the dollar does not have much in intrinsic value hiding behind the military might of the U.S. /Kit
