I think you're looking at if from Commercial + Large + Small = 0, while I'm looking at it from an independent large trader point of view where large trader long positions plus long trader short positions = 0

Even though commercials always play inverse to small and large traders to create a liquid market, it seems as if large trader positions dictate market direction.

If you think about it from the point of view of the big players large trader net 0 and commercial trader net short is the closest to sync these two can come before the rest of the market takes notice.

Large traders are net 0. Market moves down they cover short trades while adding to long trades. Good profit.
Commercials are net short. Market moves down they cover huge net short position. Great profit.
Small investors. Screwed. Transfer of wealth.
