Isn't the "death tax" more accurately known as an "inheritance tax"?
In other words, it applies only to those leaving a sufficiently large estate, under conditions that 100% guarantee they no longer need any of the money.

Fine, repeal it, my kids would actually do quite well... but do be aware that this is the main barrier to the drone class, AKA the "idle rich". Inhreited wealth is the sure way to build a class system, of permanent privilege for the lucky few... I'd have thought that's one colonial relic you'd be glad to escape?

Bush, of course, as a rich patrician WASP, might think differently. LOL. Perhaps he'd like his daughter to be the first Queen of the US.
