We eat the cake to have strength to make more cake. The point is, we are making the cake in the first place - not the poor folks. When you steal the cake, you steal critical energy used to make cake. That is what Democrats have been doing to us for at least 60 years. We cannot eat all of the cake. To preserve it and make more, we must bring on others. But when you steal from us you make the process a lot slower, which makes it harder on the poor.
